Scholarship Criteria and
Application Instructions

Green River College Foundation awards 300+ scholarships annually.  

General scholarships (open to all students) are offered as well as program-specific scholarships.
Transfer and summer completion scholarships are available as well, see below for additional instructions.

Scholarship Application Instructions

  1. Go to Use your Green River College email to login*. Set your password.
    *If you do not have a Green River student email address, go to the college admissions page to apply now. Once you have recieved your address, you will be able to apply for GRC Foundation Scholarships.

  2. Complete the online application. This includes thoroughly answering the qualifying questions, attaching your personal statement, and request recommendation letters. You can save your work and return to the application later by logging back in to the site.

  3. Recommendation Letters: A minimum of one letter is required, and you can attach up to three letters. If your application does not include at least one recommendation letter, it could be considered incomplete.

  4. When requesting recommendation letters, please make sure you speak with the individual before sending the request. Letters of recommendation may come from your professors, teachers, supervisors, mentors etc. Letters may not come from a spouse, parent, family member or friend.

  5. Submit your application when it is complete. Be sure to submit your application before the deadline.


Transfer Scholarships

The Sharp/Connelly Family Transfer Scholarship is awarded to a U.S.citizen, who has a minimum 3.0 GPA, and is planning on transferring to: University of Washington, Washington State University, Central Washington University, Western Washington University, or Eastern Washington University.

The Mark and DeLaine Emmert Transfer Scholarship is for any Green River student (including International Students) transferring to the University of Washington.


Summer Completion Scholarships

Summer completion scholarship are available for students who will complete their studies during the Summer of 2018. A Degree Audit is required to confirm that you will complete your studies in Summer 2018.
